Switch Modern Showcases Design Icons of the 20th Century in New Exhibit
Switch Modern, a destination for modern decor and furnishings, is hosting the exhibition “Design Icons of the 20th Century” now through the end of February. “[The exhibit] provides a way for Switch Modern to highlight the type of furnishings which can be found within the showroom at all times,“ co-owner Doug Henderson tells AD PRO. “By selecting designs that were already within the showroom, it was simply a matter of connecting the dots and identifying each object that is included in the permanent collection of major museums around the world.” Standout pieces include Josef Hoffmann’s early 20th century designs, Cubism-informed French pieces from the 1920s and 1930s, and Pop and Radical pieces from the 1960s.
